Over the course of the weekend, a determined group of individuals came together to put their skills to the test. Using only spare metal parts and their collective wits, they constructed a trebuchet, a medieval siege weapon that uses gravity and leverage to launch projectiles.
Their goal:
to see just how far they could launch a pumpkin.
The excitement was palpable as they put the finishing touches on their trebuchet and prepared to launch their first pumpkin. The countdown began, and with a loud “heave-ho!”, the pumpkin soared through the air. The crowd cheered as it flew farther than anyone had expected.
